Does my child need experience? No. Preseason Open Gyms in October exist so new athletes can try the sport before committing.
What ages? Grades K-6.
What does my child need? For Open Gyms and practice: Athletic clothes, water bottle, socks. For matches and tournaments: The club provides the singlet, to be returned end of season, and warm ups. You will need wrestling shoes and headgear. We have donation bins from past wrestlers that you are welcome to look through.
When are practices? Practice days and times are on the Schedule page, once finalized.
How will we hear about practice changes? Through the WrestlingIQ app. Download it and turn on notifications after you register. That's how coaches reach the team.
Do we have to compete? We expect athletes at Friday Night Matches in January and February. Tournaments are optional, but Club registration covers wrestler fees for 2 tournaments.
Still have questions? Email blazermatclub@gmail.com or message us on Facebook. Coaches are also happy to talk at practice.
Blazer Mat Club has a strict no refund policy. No refunds, partial or full, will be issued under any circumstance.
To protect your registration payment if your athlete cannot participate due to injury, illness, transportation difficulty, or another covered reason, Vertical Insure offers Registration Cancellation Insurance. The coverage has no deductible and costs a small percentage of the program fee. Questions about that product go to support@verticalinsure.com.
